Hotels

Darwin, Alice Springs and Uluru (Ayers Rock) all have international-standard hotels and there's a good standard of hotel and motel accommodation in all the major tourist areas and centres of population.

Camping

Caravanning is popular and so is camping given the magnificent wilderness, climate and lack of infrastructure in the Northern Territory. Ensure you are well prepared before venturing off the beaten track. A number of companies can arrange campervan hire, with a range of fully equipped vehicles. Other accomodation

Lodges and budget motels are available in some of the remote areas. This is usually basic but quite adequate accommodation, with lodges often having camping facilities, cabins and/or simple rooms.
